About Me

I graduated with a degree in Interior Design in 2005 but took some time off to raise my two wonderful children. They are now teenagers and spend less time with me, which means I have more free time. Recently, I have returned to school to pursue certificates in Kitchen and Bath Design and Floral Design. I plan to complete both programs in 2025 and then work towards obtaining my NKBA and LEED accreditations.

I've always had a passion for interior design and art. I was born and raised in Kansas City, but I did take a break and move to New York City for a few years to pursue some of my dreams. During my time on the East Coast, I gained amazing friendships and valuable experiences. Eventually, I returned home and went to school for Interior Design. Since then, I have been thoroughly enjoying designing and creating beautiful spaces.

Our city has an abundance of beautiful art and design to appreciate and learn from. From the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and The Plaza to Union Station and Power and Light, there are many areas to explore. Our city is also home to unique residential properties like the Shirtwaist house that can't be found in other cities. The neighborhoods in our area showcase a variety of architectural styles, including Art Deco, craftsman, midcentury modern, and neoclassical, which are all timeless beauties. All of these factors contribute to the uniqueness of our city, and this diversity should be reflected in the design of each individual's home. The people and design truly are at the heart of this city.

We all need to let our unique personalities flow through our homes, and that is my favorite part of interior design.
